Blog Your Heart Out: Self Love, Part 2

Yesterday, we talked about self-love, and many of us engaged in a sweet but essential exercise about it.  If you missed that, you can check it out here.

Today's writing mission is to write about self-love.

There are a couple of options.  You could write a blog post tailored to your audience and focus on self-love (how does self-love play out in our relationship to food?  In relationships?  In your creative or spiritual work?).

Or, if journaling is something you love or would like to love, try journaling about your own experiences, discoveries, and thoughts on self-love. The more complicated, the better.

One way to get started writing if you're feeling stuck, unsure, or resistant is
to use your handy dandy timer again.  Set the timer for 30 minutes or three
reehand pages of writing, whichever comes first, and see what emerges.
This works as either a way to journal or to begin creating content for your

blog posts.

A little side-note about journaling: we're going to use what we've written in our journals this week when we talk about curating topics for blog posts, editorial calendars, and discipline a.k.a. devotion to your writing practice.  If you had the opportunity to write last week using the prompts I sent out, those will be something you'll can draw on deeply (or if you already have a regular journaling practice, you can also use what you've written in the past).

If you don't have a journaling practice, why not give it a try?  You can find all the pre-challenge prompts here.

Au revoir,
Rebecca

P.S.    I recently wrote about my number one self-love practice these days -- prenatal yoga-- and the kind folks at elephant journal published it.  It can be a very publishable topic if you can find a unique angle to come from.  o dive on in and see what happens!

P.P.S.  A couple of folks have sent me emails about how much they're loving the images and quotes we've been using.  So glad to hear it!  You can get your beauty and inspiration fix here on Instagram and Pinterest.
